How Keane got it Wright

MICHAEL KEANE has revealed he did not even want to leave his house during the darkest period of his career.

Keane struggled to settle in at Everton following his £25million move from Burnley in the summer of 2017. He missed out on the World Cup but is now back in the England squad after an upturn in form.

The 25-year-old said: “There were months when things were going really badly and I did not want to go out. But the chairman (Bill Kenwright) called me two or three times to tell me how much he believed in me. I can’t thank him enough for that.”
