FA’s shame over Moore

WORLD Cup hero Bobby Moore was treated “scandalously” by the FA – which is why they are being so good to Wayne Rooney.

Moore won his last cap 45 years ago today in a 1-0 defeat to Italy. He later died in 1993.

Ex-Arsenal coach Theo Foley tells in new book Theo Give Us A Ball how he saw Moore turned away from a bar by a Wembley doorman two years before his death. “His treatment by the FA was scandalous,” said Foley.
