White House is sued after reporter ban

DAILY MIRROR CLASH Acosta and intern CNN is suing Donald Trump and several aides after the White House banned their reporter.

Jim Acosta was involved in a row with the US President at a news conference where Trump called him a “rude, terrible person”.

Acosta resisted a female intern’s effort to take the microphone off him.

The White House accused him of “placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job”.

But video the White House used to support its claim was found to have been doctored.

Filing its suit, CNN said barring Acosta violated “freedom of the press and the right to due process”.

Trump has called CNN “the enemy of the people”.
