Bronson gave ‘wake-up call’
LAG Charles Bronson told his assault trial he was just giving a “wake-up call”, adding: “For once I really am an innocent man.”
The notorious 66-yearold allegedly attacked HMP Wakefield governor Mark Docherty in January.
But he told Leeds crown court: “I never injured him and I never intended to. It was more of a wake-up call for him, a reality check.”
Bronson, currently at HMP Frankland, denies attempted GBH with intent. The trial continues.
