PM deal has zero appeal
FOR all her bluster, Theresa May has decided a bad deal is better than no deal.
In return for our £39billion divorce bill, she has come back with a draft agreement that has the distinction of being disliked by both Brexiteers and Remainers.
The PM will now try to ram it through Parliament by holding a shotgun to MPs’ heads.
She will present them with the choice of her botched deal or the chaos which comes with a no-deal.
From the start, Mrs May has acted only in the interests of the Conservative Party rather than those of the country.
Instead of trying to seek an agreement which could have helped heal a divided nation, she has been cornered into a grubby compromise that leaves us beholden to the EU and economically disadvantaged.
We are neither taking back control, as the Leave campaign promised, nor able to retain the benefits which come with EU membership.
