Toiletry sets twice price of single items

FINDINGS Gaby Roslin SHOPPERS are paying up to twice as much for toiletries in Christmas gift boxes compared with buying the items separately.

At Wilko, a Full Works Nivea Men Gift Pack costs £20 but individually, the items in it add up to £10.50 there – and without all the extra plastic packaging.

Another example is FCUK’s Sport Hair and Body Duo gift box at £8 in Boots, where buying the items in it separately is £4.

The probe was done by Shop Smart Save Money, a Channel 5 consumer show on tonight at 8pm. Co-host Gaby Roslin said: “The damage to our planet and pockets must be stopped.”

Boots said: “There is currently a half-price saving on the individual FCUK men’s products.”
