Teaching us a lesson in life

TEACHERS are one of the biggest influences in our lives, research shows.

Some 82% of people said they had played some part in shaping their life.

And more than a third (36%) named school or university as one of their greatest influences, behind only family and work life.

This rose to 49% for 16 to 23-year-olds.

Roger Pope of Get Into Teaching, behind the poll, said: “Teachers have stood the test of time when it comes to shaping lives.”
