Formula cost ‘a risk to tots’
THE high cost of baby formula poses a potential risk to child health, MPs found.
Low-income families could resort to unsafe practices, an All-Party Parliamentary Group heard.
These include skipping feeds or diluting formula.
APPG on Infant Feeding and Inequalities was told powder formula ranges from £6.44-£13.52 a week.
Its calls include stressing there is no significant nutrition difference in brands. It said: “We need to ensure parents are protected.”
