Scooter boy’s speeding rap

A BOY of 15 has been given six points on a driving licence he does not yet have after riding an electric scooter at “high speeds”.

Cleveland Police said the boy appeared in court last month, but gave no further details.

A police spokesman warned parents against buying kids the scooters, which can do up to 40mph, but are not legal to ride on roads or pavements.

PC Mike Doherty said: “They are not toys and can be extremely dangerous.”
