Coining it for Xmas
■ During the year, my partner and I have been putting all our loose change into a jar, including any coins and notes left after the weekend. We now have nearly £150 to spend on Christmas presents and will top it up with a little bit from the bank.
That’s our shopping sorted. For me Christmas is about family, friends and food – it will never be associated with debt. Rob Wildey Tamworth, Staffs
■ Like other readers, I’d like to say a huge well done to Iceland and its campaign against the use of palm oil in so many products (Your Voice, Nov 12 and 14).
Even so-called pure olive oil spreads contain it. In fact, all spreads do, along with cake mixes, biscuits, confectionery, cosmetics and more.
I despair when reading the list of ingredients as I have to put so many items back on the shelf. The Iceland ad should be on primetime TV.
