And Djokovic ruthlessly confirmed that the young pretenders are not ready to break the domination of the golden generation. “It seems it’s harder nowadays to make that breakthrough, to win your first Slam, as a teenager than it was 20, 30, 40 years ago,” said Djokovic. “There is a lot of quality in the new generation, it just takes a bit more to find that extra level to win Slams.”
