You can still Kop a bargain without causing Mour hassle

-

NOT for the first time recently, Liverpool’s two best payers against Fulham were Andy Robertson (left) and Xherdan Shaqiri (right).

The pair cost a combined total of £21.5 million, despite them being full internationals with Premier League experience and in their mid or early 20s when they signed. Which is a mere £2.5m more than Jose Mourinho paid for fullback Diogo Dalot, the cheapest player he has bought to Old Trafford, apart from third-choice keeper Lee Grant. Proving that there are bargains out there at much lower prices than the standard £20m£30m punt on a player being touted as the next big thing, who can complement, even outshine big-money signings.

You’ve just got to stop snarling at your board and have a look for them.
