Wife’s magical mystery tour from Manchester to Greece

A ROMANTIC husband got his wife to Greece without revealing the destination of her surprise 50th birthday break.

Steve Millar, 53, told Nicola to pack her bags a few days before they left.

He held her boarding pass, and made her shut her eyes at the gate and cover her ears to announcements at Manchester Airport.

The easyJet crew played along, the pilot announcing: “I won’t DELIGHTED Nicola Millar say where we’re going because you all know – apart from a lady in seat C20.” It wasn’t until she was inside Corfu airport that “impossible to surprise” Nicola realised where she was. Nicola, of Shrewsbury, Shrops, said: “I just yelled, ‘Oh my God, I’m in Corfu’. Everyone in the queue cheered and clapped.

“I was so excited and overwhelmed. It was magical. I can usually guess a present a mile off, but I didn’t have a clue.”
