Adult dummy suck aids tots

BABIES who have their dummies sucked clean by parents are better protected from allergies, scientists believe.

Microbes transferred from the adult’s mouth are thought to help.

Henry Ford Health in Detroit found the children of dummy-sucking parents had fewer allergy-linked antibodies.

Dr Eliane Abou-Jaoude said parental dummy sucking “may transfer healthy microorganisms to their young children”.
