Lotto slip
Search stepped up in lucky Lincs for mystery £76m EuroMillions winner
LOTTERY chiefs have ramped up their hunt for the owner of an unclaimed ticket worth £76million.
The huge EuroMillions prize is matched to a winning slip bought for the November 2 draw.
Camelot bosses know exactly where the ticket was purchased but they will reveal only the area – the Boston and Skegness constituency of Lincolnshire.
Andy Carter, from The National Lottery, visited the area yesterday with a huge billboard. He said: “The lucky holder may be going about their everyday routine completely unaware of their amazing fortune.
“We have the champagne on ice – and our fingers crossed they come forward.” The ticket matched all five numbers – 5, 15, 17, 37, 44 – plus Lucky Stars 7 and 11.
The £76,369,806 jackpot is the fourth biggest EuroMillions win this year and 12th in the National Lottery rich list.
The slip was bought in roughly the same area where retired Richard and Angela Maxwell, from Conningsby in Lincolnshire, scooped £53million in April 2015.
And in May, one Lotto winner from nearby Grantham took some three weeks to pick up their prize of just under £10million.
Mr Carter added: “Our team is on standby waiting for the ticket-holder.”
If no one claims the massive jackpot before May 2 next year the money will go to charities and good causes.
