Beer’s home after 150yrs

-

A 150-year-old unopened bottle of stout has returned from Australia to the UK brewery that made it.

Diver Jim Anderson, 72, found it near Melbourne, close to the wreck of clipper Light of The Age.

His discovery was in the 1970s but he only recently researched its history and Wellpark Brewery stamp.

He traced it to the site in Glasgow where Tennent’s Lager is made and has taken it back in person.

Jim said: “It’s amazing to see it metres from where it started its journey.”
