PC fired after leaving man to die in cold
A POLICE officer who kicked a homeless man out of a police station to freeze to death in the street has been sacked.
PC Bhupinder Kalsi made Pericles Malagardis leave Uxbridge Police Station for smoking on the premises in March 2016, while she watched DVDs.
Mr Malagardis, who suffered the skin disease cellulitis, was found unresponsive suffering hypothermia hours later.
A disciplinary hearing found Kalsi had failed to “exercise reasonable care” in her treatment of Mr Malagardis that night.
Panel chairman, Commander Kyle Gordon, said it was “chilling” that Kalsi had stood by “failing to take reasonable care as a gentleman lay dying on the street”.
