Harry: Treat HIV test like avoiding flu

PLEA The Duke of Sussex PRINCE Harry is calling for HIV testing to become “the norm” like protecting against colds and the flu.

In a video for National HIV Testing Week, which begins today, he insisted it should not be a source of shame or embarrassment.

The Duke of Sussex said: “As much as you protect yourself at this time of year from cold and flu, you can also protect your health by taking an HIV test.

“We won’t bring an end to HIV until testing is seen as completely normal.”

Terrence Higgins Trust sex health charity said one in eight people with the virus are unaware, while more than four in 10 diagnosed last year were already at a late stage.
