QPR IN ANGEL WRANGLE
MONACO
Ligue 2: 2012–13 LEICESTER CITY Premier League: 2015–16 QPR face stiff competition from Nottingham Forest, Norwich City and the MLS to hang on to Angel Rangel.
Rangel, 36, (right) has been reborn at Loftus Road since joining Rangers in the summer on a free from Swansea.
And his short-term deal expires in January.
The Spanish right-back has played 13 games for Steve McClaren’s side and they are keen to tie him down on a longer contract.
Championship leaders Norwich are known to be interested while Forest were keen on Rangel in the summer and will be back with an offer.
Rangel is also wanted in the MLS by Wayne Rooney’s DC United and New York City. BRIGHTON coach Liam Rosenior is a target for the Republic of Ireland. The Irish are keen on the former Fulham and Brighton defender to join their coaching set-up with the Under-21s.
Rosenior, 34, is currently working with the Seagulls’ Under-23s and is highly respected at the southcoast club.
