Fuhrer’s bling ring to fetch £8k
A GOLD ring decorated with a swastika that Adolf Hitler gave to Hermann Goring is expected to make £8,000 at auction.
The Fuhrer handed it to Goring when he was made Reichsmarshal in July 1940.
It has a blue, enamelled seal combining the Nazi emblem and Goring’s personal standard of an eagle. The initials S. L. for Sein Lieber (“his dear friend”) are engraved on the band, which goes under the hammer on November 29.
Jonathan Humbert of Humbert & Ellis Auctioneers, Northants, said: “This is rare, a very personal gift between the two Nazi leaders. It demonstrates the high esteem that Hitler held his lieutenant in.”
The current owner is said to have had the ring, which weighs 41g, since the 50s.
