BARTON: COD ARMY MUST RIDE WAVE

JOEY BARTON has challenged his Fleetwood squad to go on a winning run and prove their promotion credentials.

Fleetwood are currently 12th in League One but Barton (right) believes his squad are capable of much more.

Barton’s Cod Army head into today’s home game with Walsall having won their last two at the Highbury Stadium. He said: “You stand on the touchlines some times and you know what this team is capable of.

“It would be nice for us to put a nice little run together.”
