Hundreds of rescue workers are sifting through devastated towns, searching for signs of the 1,276 people now listed as missing after the fires tore through the state.
The remains of 76 people have been recovered so far, and 63 of the victims have been tentatively identified pending DNA confirmation. Heavy rain forecast for this week now threatens to bring floods, adding to the misery of 46,000 displaced people, such as Ryan Belcher and his daughter Zoeylee, 10.
