Send ‘em off in wool coffin

-

A BRITISH mill is selling woollen coffins to fill a gap in the funeral market.

Conventional wooden caskets are angular and unappealing to mourners, says AW Hainsworth.

Its £900 biodegradable alternatives include an MDF base, a cardboard frame and a cotton lining.

Julie Greenough, a spokeswoman for the company in Pudsey, West Yorks, said: “Family and loved ones find them to be very comforting, they are not as scary looking.”
