Blood donors Xmas appeal

BLOOD donors are urged to keep appointments before Christmas to avoid stocks becoming depleted over the festive period.

This time last year, one in 10 failed to turn up, hitting vital supplies.

NHS Blood and Transplant’s Mike Stredder said: “We need our donors more than ever at this time of year. Stocks can drop if appointments are missed.”
