Cafes facing rap on sugar

“OUT of home” outlets like pubs, cafes and takeaways could face action if they fail to cut sugar from food.

Public Health England has pledged to highlight where the food industry is lagging in the drive to boost the nation’s health.

Chief executive Duncan Selbie said: “Customers are saying they want faster progress from the food industry and in particular businesses that have taken little or no action.

“We will be reporting on these during 2019.”
