999 officers face resident parking fury
IRATE Unneighbourly note AN angry note was put on a police car while officers attended a “potentially life or death situation”.
So disgusted were Surrey Police that they mocked the irate resident on Facebook with a “heartfelt apology” and promised to be “more aware”.
The officers parked in a residents’ bay in Horley to get to an address following reports of “a distressed resident potentially being beaten up with a child”.
When they found the note reading, “Park your police car outside this is private parking”, the writer told them: “I don’t care, it’s not my emergency.”
The police got huge support. Eileen McLaughlin said: “No doubt they will be the ones who expect emergency services to come out when they want help!”
