Brrr-ave boys baring legs to honour mum
TWO brothers will pay tribute to their late mum and raise money for the hospice where she died by wearing shorts through the chilly winter months.
Tom Mayoh, 10, and Jack, eight, hope to raise £6,000 in sponsorship for East Lancashire Hospice.
Their mum Louise , who had breast cancer, was cared for there before she died in July, aged 39.
The boys hit on the fundraiser after their dad Gareth Mayoh, 44, realised he had forgotten to switch them to their long trousers when the weather got cold.
Gareth, of Darwen, Lancs, said the fundraising would be “good for us all”. He added: “It gives the boys a sense of purpose.”
But Tom admitted: “It’s not going to be easy – especially if it snows.”
