What’s causing my mouth ulcer?

Symptoms:

You have a jagged tooth on one side of your mouth where an old filling fell out and you keep getting mouth ulcers on the side of your tongue that rubs against it.

You have repeated ulcers in your mouth. You’re suffering a lot of stress at work and can’t sleep. You’re anxious and you smoke 20 a day.

You have a large ulcer on the side of your tongue which won’t go away. It has a white edge and pus at the centre but it’s not that sore. It could be:

Traumatic ulcer due to the jagged edge of your tooth. The ulcer may become chronic and not heal, a situation you want to avoid. Stop it:

See your dentist to have your tooth repaired. To aid healing use an antiseptic mouth wash such as Corsodyl three times a day.
