Cut cost of recycling

■ There appears to be confusion regarding what you can and can’t recycle (Mirror, Nov 15).

All items should be clearly marked with an R or NR (recyclable or non-recyclable).

This would help councils to reduce their costs of advertising and producing booklets.

It only takes one item to spoil a load – and off it goes to landfill.

■ I totally disagree with Brian Reade regarding Tory MP Jo Johnson (Nov 17).

I have the utmost respect for the stand he made over Brexit. He was one of the first to resign – not waiting until there was safety in numbers, like others, and possibly jeopardising his career.

He is a good and approachable MP, and, as far as I can see, nothing like his brother Boris.
