TSB gets a new boss

High street bank TSB has poached its new boss from rival CYBG to replace chief executive Paul Pester, who quit after this year’s IT meltdown.

Debbie Crosbie, right, whose start date next year has not been confirmed, is tasked with rebuilding TSB’s reputation in the wake of the episode, which saw customers lose access to their online banking after the bungled introduction of a new computer system.

She is currently group chief operating officer at CYBG, the lender behind the Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks.

Crosbie said: “I’ve known and admired TSB for many years and I have huge respect for the values on which TSB has been built.”
