Giroud up for a fight
OLIVIER GIROUD has vowed to fight for his firstteam place at Chelsea.
After earning a mini-run as a starter in Chelsea’s Premier League side, the striker has lost his place to Alvaro Morata.
The 32-year-old World Cup winner has managed just one goal in 12 Chelsea appearances this season.
But only four of those have been top-flight starts, sparking suggestions he could be on the move after joining from Arsenal only last January for £18m.
Giroud said: “Would I have to consider a departure to keep my place in the national team?
“I would like more playing time. But I am in a big club, with big players. I am going to fight.”
