Holly takes her success lying down

NERVOUS Holly Willoughby relaxes after her I’m A Celebrity debut by making her way to a spa session on the Gold Coast. The opening show pulled in nearly 12 million viewers on Monday night, and the 37-year-old celebrated by having a one-hour massage. Ratings for the first evening, presented by Holly and Declan Donnelly, 43, were up nearly a million on last year, peaking at 11.9 million.

That was the biggest TV audience this year outside of the football World Cup, and the biggest series launch of the reality show since 2013. Holly said: “I feel relieved, massively relieved. It’s so overwhelming. Watching this was part of my life for years and it’s surreal being here.”

Dec told how Holly was overcome with emotion the first time she visited the jungle camp. He said: “When I showed her the entrance, she was just looking up with tears in her eyes. It’s amazing.” Holly admitted: “There was no one in camp so that made it peaceful and a bit magical.”
