‘POGBA SAYS YES TO JUVE’

Italians claim United star has told pals he’s on his way back to Turin... and could move in January

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

PAUL POGBA has told his Juventus pals he wants to quit Manchester United to rejoin them.

Reports in Italy claim the unsettled midfelder has told his former team-mates he is keen to return to Turin, just two years after leaving for a world record fee.

The France star made his name

in each of his four seasons with them as well as two Coppa Italias.

Pogba left Juventus to return to United for £89.3million in 2016 to become Jose Mourinho’s marquee signing.

But their relationship has deteriorated and the player wants out.

Barcelona considered moving for Pogba in the summer and were prepared to meet his terms before shelving their interest.

They remain keen and are monitoring his situation at United with a view to trying again next summer.

Juventus could steal a march on Barca and feel the breakdown in Pogba’s relationship with Mourinho presents an opportunity to prise him away, despite United’s reluctance to sell.

Pogba, 25, has struggled to reproduce his World Cup-winning form for United this season.

He is currently injured after picking up a knock in United’s Champions League win over Juventus a fortnight ago.

He withdrew from France’s squad for their games with Holland and Uruguay and enjoyed a sunshine break in Dubai, where he was pictured with Barca star Lionel Messi.
