A poll has highlighted what’s top of the to-do list for British couples before they start a family. Out in front was buying a house (67%) and travelling more came a close second (63%), according to the research commissioned by Furniture123.

Getting married made it into fourth place behind “landing the dream job”, with 41% of couples believing that’s important.
