Eddie: A second EU vote Iz ‘inevitable’
COMEDIAN Eddie Izzard says there will be another Brexit vote as “there’s a lot of angry people out there”.
Izzard, 56, a prominent Remain campaigner, said: “The European Union was set up to stop world wars, and people have forgotten that.
“I think a lot of people who voted Leave are now seeing how negative things have been going, and that we’re going to make people poorer in this country. So a second referendum, a People’s Vote, is inevitable.”
He added: “There’s a lot of angry people out there who want their future back.”
Izzard spoke as he picked up an honorary doctorate from
York St John University yesterday. He added: “The extreme Right wing, the elite... they just wanted to smash things up, and they had no plans.”
