Cheryl moans at ‘relentless abuse’ after X Factor song
CHERYL has hit back at critics after she writhed in a tight black bodysuit while singing on Sunday’s X Factor.
The former judge’s performance of her new single, Love Made Me Do It, provoked 15 complaints to watchdog Ofcom for its “sexual tone.”
Cheryl, 35, said the “sheer level of unbalanced negativity” towards her has been “shocking”.
She tweeted: “This level of NEGATIVITY Singer Cheryl relentless abuse should not be tolerated in any walk of life.” Following the show, Chic star Nile Rodgers, filling in for judge Robbie Williams, dismissed suggestions he had “snubbed” Cheryl by not standing after she performed. Rodgers, 66, tweeted: “I’d never snub ANYBODY. It’s not my nature. Really folks? This is what we’ve come to.” Cheryl and ex-partner Liam Payne, 25, became first-time parents in March last year.
