Schumacher: ‘I never felt good enough’

- BY TOM DAVIDSON

MICHAEL Schumacher’s family released a film of the F1 legend two months before his skiing accident in which he said he “never felt good enough”.

In the 2013 interview, on his official website, the racing driver reflects on his life in F1, having ended his career a year earlier after a comeback with Mercedes.

He said: “I always felt I am not good enough, I have to work, and that was one part of the recipe that made me what I became.”

He also said his idol was German goalie Toni Schumacher (no relation).

The interview is dated October 30, 2013. Schumacher suffered a serious head injury in Meribel, France, on December 29.

The 49-year-old continues to be treated at home in Switzerland.
