Leeds striker Wilks in court
LEEDS United’s Mallik Wilks has appeared in court accused of assault and violent disorder.
The striker, 19, pleaded not guilty to the two charges, relating to Leeds West Indian Carnival.
Both offences are alleged to have taken place at the event in August last year.
Wilks, of Leeds, spoke at the city’s crown court to confirm his name, address, date of birth and nationality then enter his pleas.
He got unconditional bail and a July 1 trial date.
