Crash horror on first date

TWO people were killed in a booze-fuelled car crash while on their first date.

Learner driver Tim Grace, 31, hit 130mph in a BMW that crashed into a tree on the M4 near Pyle, South Wales, on June 12.

Passenger Sarah-Jayne Thomas, 28, of Swansea, died at the scene, Mr Grace, also from Swansea, died the next day.

A Pontypridd inquest heard that postmortem tests showed Mr Grace was almost twice the drink drive limit. Verdict: crash contributed to by alcohol.
