Eco-activists deface clock

CLIMATE change demonstrators used spray paint to vandalise a clock unveiled by Stephen Hawking.

Protesters wrote “wake up to climate change” in orange and black paint on glass in front of the golden clock yesterday morning.

The timepiece, unveiled in 2008, is outside Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.

Witness Samuel Bols said: “Protesters were there a while when one of them spray painted the clock. It’s certainly one way to get people’s attention.”
