Royal swans need feeding

-

THE Queen’s swans are too thin to survive winter and the public has been urged to feed them up.

A group that weighed the birds on the Thames near Windsor Castle, Berks, said: “The majority are well under weight.”

Swan Support asked people to take grains, cereals or leafy greens.

It also said bread was fine to feed to the swans.

One reason they were so thin was people had been told it was bad for them, but it said there was “no proof whatsoever” for that.
