We’re getting the jungle fever, Holly

- Edited by FIONA PARKER

■ I am really enjoying the new series of I’m A Celebrity... the line-up is the best we’ve had in years and it’ll be fascinating to see how the camp mates get along with each other in the coming weeks.

My favourite so far is Anne Hegerty who has shown amazing courage to go on the show when she has autism. I’m also looking forward to seeing what Noel Edmonds adds to the proceedings.

And while I miss the banter between Ant and Dec, I think Holly is doing a fine job so far.

Good luck to all the jungle contestants, especially Anne! Sheila White

■ I regret to say that this year’s show will not hit the standard of previous years. There is no spark between Dec and Holly – she is too shallow and does not have the right attributes for the job.

Ant and Dec have star quality, a chemistry that has been carefully nurtured over many years and it shows. Sorry, but Holly is just not doing it for me.

■ I’m a Celebrity... is the best reality show on television by a country mile. The new campmates are a feisty bunch whose trials and tribulations we are sure to enjoy.

Of course, the big talking point is the absence of host Ant McPartlin and how his replacement, Holly Willoughby, is doing. Ant is a hard act to follow but early signs are good and Holly is looking to be a decent foil for co-host Declan Donnelly. M Dunlop, Wallsend, Tyne & Wear ■ Although I miss Ant McPartlin, Holly Willoughby is doing a stellar job and is a welcome addition to this year’s I’m A Celebrity. Dec and Holly seem to mould well together and I’m so pleased there are still belly laughs galore.

Yes, Dec understandably misses his bestie, but it’s up to Ant to get back on top. M Gosney Billingham

Teesside ■ What a great set of campmates in the jungle this year. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of laughter and tears as the show progresses. And well done to Holly – Ant’s are big shoes to fill but she has fitted in perfectly.

■ With regards to the high viewing figures for I’m A Celebrity, I don’t think they are up because of Holly, I think it is because of who is in the camp.

I’m sorry but the show is just not the same without Ant. I wish he could come back. Rachel Walton, Halifax West Yorks

■ It is getting to the stage where I can’t switch the telly on without seeing Holly Willoughby.

I don’t blame the girl for making the most of her slender talents, but you can see too much of anyone.

Give it a rest, Holly! D A Shaw Tamworth, Staffs
