TADHG’S BEIRNE-ING DESIRE TO RETURN

vTADHG BEIRNE will be ready to stake his second-row claim when Ireland face the USA, says Munster teammate Niall Scannell.

Potent lock Beirne (above) impressed in Ireland’s 54-7 win over Italy in Chicago, but has had to watch from the sidelines as they saw off both Argentina and New Zealand.

James Ryan has been released back to Leinster, opening the door for Beirne.

And Scannell said: “Tadhg will definitely be up for it this week, if he gets a chance.”
