Falcao fiasco haunts Reds

FOOTBALL LEAKS claim Manchester United agreed to pay Monaco £3.5million for a “ghost friendly” which never took place as part of a deal to sign Radamel Falcao on loan.

I’m struggling to work out the scandal for two reasons. One, it was merely a cynical way of getting around French rules on bonuses, so what’s wrong with cutting out the cynicism and coughing up the agreed cash. And two, a ghost game is apt for Falcao (above) as almost every time he played for

United he was so unthreatening opposing defenders viewed him as Casper the Friendly Ghost.
