YOUTHFUL ENGLAND SO INSPIRING..
ENGLAND’S success under Gareth Southgate is an inspiration for young players up and down the country, according to Joe Worrall.
Boss Southgate (above) has steered England to the World Cup semi-finals and Nations League finals utilising young players this year.
And Rangers stopper Worrall, who has three England Under-21 caps and lifted the 2017 Toulon Tournament trophy as U-20 skipper, said: “Southgate is trusting young players and hopefully other managers will.
“If anyone comes to me with the excuse you are not old enough, I will go, ‘Hold on, these lads are playing for England’.
“Gareth gave me my first U-21 cap and presented it to me. It is nice to see lads can make that step up.”
