ANFIELD LINK IS CRUCIAL FOR GERS
STEVEN GERRARD has used his Liverpool contacts to make his mark in Glasgow.
Gerrard has Rangers challenging for the title in his first season at the helm since leaving his role coaching Liverpool’s Under-18s.
The Reds legend has recruited midfielder Oviemuno Ejaria and winger Ryan Kent (above) on loan from Anfield. He has also inherited former Liverpool rising star Jordan Rossiter, who joined Rangers in July 2016.
Ibrox defender Joe Worrall said: “He has his contacts at Liverpool and wants a hardworking side with an injection of pace.
“Gerrard is no idiot, he has the balance right. You have to have that because players don’t go on forever.
“You need to blood youngsters and we have another lad, Glenn Middleton, who is a winger doing really well.
“We have experience and raw talent.”
