Fergie: Di would be proud of her daughters-in-law
PRINCESS Diana would be so proud of her daughters-in-law Megan and Kate, the Duchess of York has said.
Sarah, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife and a friend of the princess who died in a car crash in 1997, said Diana would have wanted to hug the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge and tell them: “You’re doing well.” Sarah also said that Diana’s sons William and Harry were a credit to her.
She told ITV’s Good Morning Britain: “She’d just be so proud. Even before they got married, Diana would have been going ‘I can’t believe these boys have done so well’. She’d be so proud of wonderful Meghan and Catherine as well.”
The duchess also said she felt “the old Fergie was back” when invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May.
Sarah said: “I felt grateful. I can’t thank them enough.”
