Vet Harry, 95, fights for life
WAR veteran and activist Harry Leslie Smith was critically ill in hospital last night following a fall.
The Second World War pilot, 95, has suspected pneumonia, son John said.
Harry, who was visiting John in Ontario, Canada, had tweeted on Tuesday: “Bugger of a day, had a fall and now I am in hospital.”
Jeremy Corbyn was among well-wishers for the Barnsley-born activist, a passionate NHS supporter.
The Labour leader said: “We need him to get well soon, the NHS needs him.”
