Cryer has hip op after tumble
VETERAN comic Barry Cryer was forced to cancel a show last night to have surgery after breaking his hip in a fall.
Barry, 83, was due to appear in Horsham, West Sussex, before he was taken to hospital yesterday.
His show Strictly Come Joking also features his colleague
FALL Comedian Barry Cryer from BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, the pianist Colin Sell.
Their next show is scheduled for March 16 next year, in Norwich. Barry wrote for Morecambe and Wise, Tommy Cooper and the Two Ronnies, and in September got a lifetime achievement award from the British Music Hall Society.
