Judge tells child abductor: You have been very foolish
A MAN who took a girl of 15 on a weeklong “excursion” as police hunted for her walked free after a judge said he “behaved entirely properly” on the trip.
Thomas Fallon, 25, who admitted child abduction, was told by Judge Jeremy Richardson QC that he had been “very foolish”.
The girl, from Doncaster, South Yorks, told police she and Fallon were in “a sort of relationship”, CONVICTION Thomas Fallon which involved some kissing and cuddling, but no sexual activity. On September 22 she took a train to Harrogate, where Fallon lived, and they travelled on to Edinburgh. A cafe owner there called police on September 30. At Sheffield crown court, the judge said: “It’s most unfortunate that it’s actually a crime but it’s an unhappy situation, for everybody concerned.” Fallon was jailed for three months, but released due to the time he spent on remand.
